“Hmph, I know who you are. This girl here mentions you everyday. It would be hard not to know you. Why did Song Mo send you here? Where is he?” Everything Yu Li said and did came off as classy and elegant. Even his nitpicking was aristocratic.

“The CEO, he…”

Fengguang pulled him down to sit before he could finish. She then cut him off and started replying, “Song Mo went off with Qiu Niannian to play Cinderella and the prince games. So today, it’s my Bai Zhe who came to do business with you.”

“Song Mo.” Yu Li’s tone darkened. “Does he think I’m a pawn he can disregard? He actually sent a secretary to my dinner invite.”

“Hey, I didn’t like hearing what you just said. How is it insulting to be doing business with my boyfriend?”

Yu Li only just remembered this point and froze. He then let out a tsk. “You could date anyone and you decided on a lowly secretary.”

“I only like him. I don’t want anyone else besides Bai Zhe.” Fengguang held tightly onto Bai Zhe’s arm with a serious expression on her face.

Bai Zhe also held onto her hand as well. He didn’t give any reaction throughout their exchange and instead, took out some documents and said, “Maybe General Manager Yu can take a look at our proposal towards the jewellery advertising.”

“I don’t need to look at it. The advertisement will just go to you. And my decision is because of this brat here.”

Fengguang furrowed her brows. “Hey Yu Li!”

“Fine fine. You won’t let me say it like that but do you think he came here unprepared and didn’t look up information about me? Without you here, would I so easily agree to this deal? After all, I’m prideful and towards that flake Song Mo’s actions, Bai Zhe is lucky I’m not purposely making it hard for him.”

What Yu Li said did make sense. Fengguang glanced at Bai Zhe with a pitiful expression. She didn’t want his business deal to go through just because she appeared because it might make him unhappy. “Bai Zhe, Little Fish was my senior at my university overseas. I did not look for him because I don’t trust your ability, it’s just…”

It’s just what? She couldn’t think of a reason.

“I understand.” Her pitiful expression made her seem like a sick little kitten. Bai Zhe patted her on the head. If other people weren’t present, he would have given her a passionate kiss.

“Ahem.” The gentleness between them made the single dog Yu Li unhappy. He hadn’t even managed to woo his own fiancee. “Brat, are you toying with him or are you serious about this?”

“Of course I’m serious!”

“If I recall correctly, you still have a fiance and it’s that Song Mo who chases women every two to three days.”

Fengguang grinded her teeth. “Sooner or later, I’ll be cancelling any marriage plans I have with that idiot.”

“Really?!” Fengguang took out a mirror and her lipstick had really lightened. “I’m going to the restroom!”

Befitting her status as a lady, Fengguang left to fix her makeup in the restroom. Once she left, the gentleness in Bai Zhe completely dispersed.

He gave a foreign, polite smile. “What did General Manager Yu want to speak with me about?”

“Bai Zhe ah…” For some unknown reason, General Manager Yu let out a laugh. “When I heard Fengguang decided to be with you, I was very surprised. Fengguang must not know that I already met you three years ago then.”

“People of your status often forget the little things. So you would not be at fault if General Manager Yu forgot to mention this detail to Fengguang.”

“Oh? You don’t want me to tell Fengguang?”

“I have no control over General Manager Yu’s decisions.”

“Your vague behavior you’re displaying is making me think you might actually have feelings for her.”

Bai Zhe revealed a warm jade-like smile. “Would this affect our business collaboration?”

“Not at all.” Yu Li let out a lazy smile. “You know before you came, do you know what Fengguang told me? She said that she wanted me to help you go against Song Mo, to help you get revenge.”

After Yu Li finished speaking, he became satisfied observing the change in Bai Zhe’s expression.
