Fake 31: I Am Glad To Have Met With Aoi

“It worked out pretty well.”

As this was our first time fighting together, there was no way we could have acted with flawless coordinations. But, we were able to defeat five F-rank monsters safely.

As for me, I think being able to use [Explosion] has played a larger part.

Also, the original skill of Aoi was much grander than I’d expected, and this battle made me think that her being an E-rank is not for show.

I also think that even for Aoi, there might have been irregular situations that couldn’t be dealt with when she was fighting solo. But, the attacks that were impossible before became possible with the addition of me. So, the sense of stability seemed to have significantly increased compared to when fighting solo.

Until now, I’d only played as a support in temporary parties, so I didn’t understand the difference between a party and a solo in the truest sense. However, I fully realized the advantages of a party in this battle.

I’ve also understood why everybody wants to be in a party.

Besides, our skills seemed to have overlapped, creating a synergic effect; perhaps, it was about three times as effective as when one could have achieved solo.

“As expected, Rin-kun is amazing.”

“No, isn’t it Aoi who is amazing?”

“No, it’s Rin-kun. Because we were able to easily defeat five monsters that scared me so much when I was alone. More than anything, I wasn’t scared at all when I thought I was together with Rin-kun.”

“That is the same for me too. It was so close last time, whereas I am left with excess strength this time, and it is only thanks to Aoi.”

“Fufuu, then, it is thanks to both of us.”

“Well, I wonder”

Aoi's smile is dazzling.

I didn’t know it was so much fun: having a companion to tend to each other after a battle.

Until now, I was frequently looked down either blatantly or covertly. Thus, all my conversations were conducted in perfunctory manners. That’s why this feels just like a dream: being together with such a cute girl and complementing each other.

Don’t tell me, all of this isn’t just a dream, right? If so, I might not be able to recover. After retrieving the magic stones, we returned home. Five F-rank magic stones are worth about 150,000 yen; it is still 75,000 yen for each person even after dividing.

I’ve gotten cold feet after earning so much, but this was also thanks to Aoi. By partying with her, the level and the number of monsters that could be dealt with have increased. There is nothing but advantages for me, but does Aoi really not regret forming a party with me?

“Aoi, are you really okay with me? If you don’t want it……”

“Rin-kun! I will get angry! I already told you. I am okay with Rin-kun! So, please don’t say such things ever again.”

“Ah, alright, sorry”

This is the first time I've seen her like that. Aoi is seriously angry.

I regretted thinking I made her angry. At the same time, I was feeling happy because the reason for her anger was that she wanted to affirm she was okay with me. Due to these mixed emotions, an indescribable feeling welled up inside me.

Although it is just a coincidence, I am really glad to have met with Aoi.

I am really glad that I was able to help her at that time.

I am really glad that I was able to form a party with Aoi as well.

I am really glad that Aoi has accepted me.

I didn’t know that it’s so pleasing to have someone who acknowledges me properly. The events in the last few days have never happened to me when I was still a loner.

Especially my life in these past few days; perhaps, this is the first time I felt fun since becoming a high school student. I can only thank Aoi for bringing such a change to my life.

Is there anything I can do for Aoi? That day, it was the only thought in my head until I got home with my racing bicycle.
