"Ah! I’m so frustrated! When will I be able to go outside again!"
Just because I pushed that pig onto Mimosa, I was forced to live a life where I can hardly leave my room, with the engagement to the family of the Captain of the Guard being rejected on the grounds that I am ‘frail.’
Moreover, since it would seem strange for my parents to engage in social activities while I am frail, my mother hasn’t even hosted a single tea party.
I don’t care about that ignorant next-in-line Earl! I threw my pillow at the empty wall.
The feather pillow fell softly to the floor, but my frustration didn’t dissipate with such a trivial act.
(I need... I need to relieve my stress somehow)
Then I thought of writing a letter, to Mimosa.
To the Mimosa who is probably being forced into a marriage with a sweaty husband and feeling utterly miserable, I will write a letter.
—To my dear Mimosa.
Are you not having a hard time in an unfamiliar place? You are so introverted, shy, and reserved; I really wanted to leave you at home... I’m sorry for making you do this with such a frail body.
Are you getting along with the next-in-line Earl? If you don’t know how to interact with men, feel free to consult me. Before I got sick, I had many glamorous stories around me. Not the romance novels you read, but real romances.
And then...
The words flowed smoothly. I wrote a letter that, if seen by anyone from the Earl’s family, would seem like a kind and loving message, but one that would shame Mimosa, just as I did when she was around.
My handwriting is a bit messy, but I can say it’s because my hands shake from my illness.
Every time something unpleasant happened, I would belittle Mimosa, stimulate her insecurities, and confine her to her room.
Thanks to her being a perfect recluse with no voice, I didn’t have to marry that white pig of a man who relies on his status.
To ensure that the pitiful Mimosa isn’t lonely, I am supposed to recover and start social activities again after her wedding.
So until then, I will thoroughly bully Mimosa through letters. It’s a shame I can’t see her reactions directly, but I’ll have to endure it.
Because I absolutely refuse to spend my life with such a pig. I will marry someone with a higher title and someone much more wonderful.
Then I will invite Mimosa and her husband to a ball and ‘welcome’ them grandly.
So for now, I must endure. I told myself this as I wrote five letters, which I then had delivered to Mimosa.
Mimosa, no matter what you do, you will always be my sister. I want you to remain a miserable recluse for the rest of your life.
This is a small request from your loving older sister. I will surely make you feel ashamed and unable to come out.
Certainly, I will.
