The Liang Rong in love, as compared to the him from before, his mind seemed to have regressed a little. He would stare at Song Ning from time to time and giggle foolishly, then he would move closer and cling to him while acting spoiled.

Song Ning had never experienced such a relationship before so he would often feel embarrassed over it but also enjoy it on the other hand.

Liang Rong would have a fixed one-hour nap time after meal every day. In the past, Song Ning would wait in the living room, but now Liang Rong would pull him along, saying he could only sleep when Song Ning’s there with him.

Song Ning laughed and said he was being childish, but he always complied to his intention to lie down beside him.

Song Ning did not have the habit of napping, so when Liang Rong fell asleep, he would quietly look at his handsome side profile. For an entire hour.

The him now treasured every moment in the present, because he knew that every wonderful thing has an expiration date.

Just like his favorite canned yellow peaches, which can only be kept for two years at most.

In two years, the person he loves will have to leave, taking this love of theirs with him and disappear forever in his memories.

40.

Today, Liang Rong woke up after sleeping for less than half an hour.

Song Ning asked, “Why are you awake so soon? Don’t you want to sleep a little longer?”

""

Liang Rong looked at Song Ning who was lying beside him with a hint of confusion in his eyes. “Dr. Song?”

Song Ning immediately jumped up from the bed, “Mr. Liang?!”

Liang Rong sat up as well, nodding his head.

The situation at hand was quite complicated and people normally would never have encountered it before. To sum it up in one sentence, it would be ‘you caught me cheating with you’.

Liang Rong fixed his gaze on Song Ning. He felt guilty, not daring to look back at him. Song Ning was afraid that he would ask some embarrassing questions.

Fortunately, Song Ning didn’t seem to care about this, instead he asked, “Did you not come over last week? I was awake once but didn’t see you.”

Song Ning breathed a long sigh of relief, then his heart tightened up again, “Are you going to cut down on my pay?”

Liang Rong laughed, “No worries, I won’t.”

41.

Liang Rong was conscious longer than what Song Ning had expected this time. It lasted for two whole days.

This signified that Liang Rong’s condition was starting to gradually improve, which also meant his 16-year-old personality was slowly leaving Song Ning.

Song Ning sat across Liang Rong with his thoughts in turmoil.

He recalled the day before yesterday, he was also sitting in the same spot. Liang Rong sneaked up on him out of nowhere and gave him a kiss on the cheek when he wasn’t looking.

Song Ning pretended to be angry and pushed him away but was pressed down underneath Liang Rong instead. The two of them kissed from the seat all the way to the carpet and finally rolled into a ball together on the floor. They were both laughing then.

Today, in the very same spot, facing the same person, Song Ning could only sit upright and carry on with a polite conversation.

The closest stranger would probably be a description about them.

42.

“Dr. Song, it’s time for me to take my medicine.”

Liang Rong’s words jerked Song Ning back to reality as he hurriedly took out the prepared medicine from his bag.

The moment before he handed it to him, a selfish thought flashed through Song Ning’s mind. If he stopped his treatment for Liang Rong from now on, the one he loved would stay in thid body and never leave him forever.

Song Ning was taken aback by his own thoughts as he shook his head repeatedly.

Liang Rong raised his eyebrows and asked, “Dr. Song, do you have something on your mind lately?”

Song Ning barely mustered up a smile, “It’s nothing.”

Liang Rong swallowed the pill and jokingly said to Song Ning, “If you have anything on your mind, why not share it to me? You already know so many secrets of mine, I want to hear yours too.”

Song Ning: “……”

43.

Liang Rong continued to rest in his room after taking his medications. Song Ning stayed outside in the living room and read a book.

After a while, he suddenly heard someone shouting from inside, “Ah Ning! Where’s Ah Ning!”

Song Ning’s hand trembled a little as the book fell on the floor.

The 16-year-old Liang Rong had woken up and he sat on the edge of the bed, complaining loudly, “Ah Ning, you didn’t sleep with me!”

Song Ning was too occupied with his worries these few days to coax him, so he said, “Sleep by yourself from now on!”

Hearing that, Liang Rong pitifully wrapped his arms around himself and said in a small voice, “Dr. Song, you’re not soothing your patient properly. My heart feels cold.”

44.

Song Ning couldn’t hold it in and let out a laugh. “Then, how shall I soothe you/”

Liang Rong swept away his upset feelings in one go and grabbed Song Ning’s arm when he approached. With a turn, he pinned Song Ning down on the bed.

Song Ning couldn’t react in time and his lips were already sealed with force.

Liang Rong’s kissing skills were very much in line with his actual age. Song Ning was no match for him at all and soon went limp in his arms. Under Liang Rong’s guidance, he obediently opened his lips as Liang Rong’s tongue slipped in smoothly, stirring up his insides repeatedly.

Song Ning couldn’t hold up against this kind of entanglement. His breathing gradually became uncontrolled and a seductive, low moan spilled out of his throat.

Liang Rong’s movements came to a sudden stop right in this moment.

Song Ning’s face flushed red in an instance as he felt something that was touching his body turn a little hard.
