Crisis Arises?

Chapter Courtesy: Wang Mei

Zhao Yimeng was among the top 30 in the last exams so she was in the same room during this exam. Currently, she and Shen Wanying were standing at the back door secretly watching Huo Cheng and Ji Yao.

Zhao Yimeng: “My lady, say… Do you think my turkey CP

Shen Wanying: “——”

Despite her classmate’s silence, Zhao Yimeng continued to speak, answering her own question. “If Ji Yao succeeds in his counterattack this time and returns to the top spot, then his loss last time should be carelessness on his part. But if Huo Cheng lands the first place again—”

Then it’s definitely going to be a BE!

Zhao Yimeng: “Do you think Huo Cheng would lose to Ji Yao on purpose?”

Shen Wanying was silent for a moment before answering quietly, “I don’t think so.”

“In fact, I can go along with a deep sadomasochistic relationship between them,” Zhao Yimeng said stubbornly. “As long as their facade isn’t broken, I can endure this CP forever.”

Shen Wanying: “——”

No, you don’t have to.

A female student walked through the front door of the classroom and spotted Huo Cheng sitting in the first row. Although she tried to conceal it, the sparkling joy reflected in her eyes was obvious at a glance. “Hello, you are Huo Cheng, right?”

The girl’s voice was soft, and it was somewhat similar to Shen Wanying’s. When Huo Cheng silently raised his eyes to look at her, she took the initiative to introduce herself.

“My name is Qiu Ziqing, I am a student in Class 2. We’ve actually met several times in the corridor. Do you remember?”

Huo Cheng: “No.”

“Pfft!” Zhao Yimeng tried to suppress her laugh. “I thought I’d seen that Qiu Ziqing peeking at Huo Cheng from the corridor before. Sure enough, I really wasn’t mistaken.”

She didn’t hold any resentment against Qiu Ziqing, she just couldn’t come to like this person. The girl had good looks and good grades, but she always gave Zhao Yimeng the feeling she was deliberately imitating Shen Wanying. She couldn’t seem to remember the main fact that her face didn’t look as good as Shen Wanying’s and her grades ranked steadily behind as well.

Standing in place without Huo Cheng’s acknowledgment, Qiu Ziqing was a little embarrassed. Fortunately, the teacher who was to invigilate the exam came in at this time and saved her from further awkwardness.

“Everyone, sit back in your place. The exam will begin now.”

Qiu Ziqing glanced back at Huo Cheng once more before returning to her seat.

After the first exam, Huo Cheng took his notebook with him as he left the classroom. Their school bags were all placed in the lockers just outside the room. As he was taking his things out of his locker, Qiu Ziqing came out and approached once again.

“Huo Cheng, how did you do in the exam?”

Zhao Yimeng came out right after her and when she heard Qiu Ziqing talking to Huo Cheng again, she quickly chimed in, “At least better than you did.”

Qiu Ziqing tilted her head and glanced sideways at Zhao Yimeng. Although the two of them weren’t classmates, they often sat in the same examination room during exams and were familiar with each other.

She ignored Zhao Yimeng and continued talking to Huo Cheng. “Did you join any study groups? If there’s a chance in the future, we can study together.”

Zhao Yimeng continued to pipe up. “He joined the archery club together with Lady Shen.”

Qiu Ziqing pursed her lips, clearly not very happy with the constant interruptions. “Zhao Yimeng, I wasn’t talking to you.”

Zhao Yimeng enjoyed looking at her flustered and exasperated appearance. She obviously tried to imitate Shen Wanying, but she just couldn’t imitate the essence. Lady Shen wouldn’t be agitated with just two or three sentences like this.

“Who said I was speaking to you? I was just talking to myself.” Zhao Yimeng showed a smug face.

While they were talking, Huo Cheng had already packed up his things and walked over to Shen Wanying. “Are you going back to the classroom?”

Shen Wanying: “I’m going to go to the cafeteria for lunch.”

Huo Cheng nodded, “Then, let’s go together.”

“Okay. We can talk about the field trip.” Shen Wanying turned and called out to Zhao Yimeng, “Are you going to eat?”

Zhao Yimeng: “——”

Of course, she wants to eat! But if she went now, wouldn’t she be the third wheel?

Obviously, it was Lady Shen who asked!

Zhao Yimeng coughed and gingerly asked, “Is that okay?”

She looked at Huo Cheng.

Huo Cheng: “Let’s go together.”

“Let’s go!” Zhao Yimeng responded happily, not forgetting to shoot Qiu Ziqing a triumphant look before leaving.

But she never expected that the other girl’s face was so thick that she bought a set meal and sat down next to them!

“Do you mind if I sit here?” Qiu Ziqing asked while she set her food down. “There is nowhere else to sit.”

Zhao Yimeng: “——” She really wanted to ask Qiu Ziqing― Are you blind? However, the cafeteria was a public area. People could sit wherever they wanted, so she kept her mouth shut in the end.

It was even more impossible to expect Shen Wanying and Huo Cheng to open their mouths to drive her away.

Shen Wanying moved the milk tea that Zhao Yimeng bought for them to her side and gave Qiu Ziqing a place to sit. “What about Wang Tingting? I thought you usually ate with her.”

Qiu Ziqing: “She finished her exam early, so she went out to eat.”

“Oh,” Shen Wanying nodded. “Then, would you like some milk tea?”

“No, thank you,” Qiu Ziqing smiled at her. “But, can I eat with you again tomorrow? Wang Tingting probably will finish early again.”

Shen Wanying: “Sure.”

Zhao Yimeng couldn’t help but purse her lips. My Lady, you are so kind… You should feel at least a little sense of crisis! This woman is obviously here to grab your man!

… Eh? Why did I think that Huo Cheng is Lady Shen’s man? He is obviously the other half of the turkey CP!
