While they were talking, the car was parked at the gateway.

Gu Yeze kissed her on the top of her head, “Sit for a minute.”

He got off, walked to the other side of the car and opened the door for Bai Weijin.

The gloomy feelings that lingered for days on Gu Yeze’s mind vanished without a trace. He pulled Bai Weijin into their home and started to make sexual advances to her once they entered the house.

Bai Weijin threw her arms around his neck. She found it hard to say no.

Gu Yeze pressed his lips to her ear, deliberately lowering his voice, “Move to my room, OK?”

“OK…” Tickled by his touch, Bai Weijin agreed unconsciously.

It was several minutes before Bai Weijin realized what she said. Before she took back those words, Gu Yeze leaned forward with a sly smile, “Good, that’s settled then. You’ll move to my room tonight.”

They went upstairs arm in arm. Bai Weijin wasn’t bashful about professing her love for Gu Yeze.

Frankly speaking, their last sex practice was pretty enjoyable, though a little painful.

Gu Yeze pushed Bai Weijin onto the bed. The moment she tumbled into the bed, Bai Weijin appeared to be in her right mind. She grasped Gu Yeze by the hair and asked, “Any connection between Zhang Ranran and you?”

Gu Yeze’s smile broadened. He pinched her chin, “So concerned with it?”

“Of course I am.” Bai Weijin replied with perfect assurance.

Gu Yeze sketched his relationship with Zhang Ranran. There was nothing special, though he deliberately skipped the sexual intercourse between them.

Somehow, he felt a little guilty.

Gu Yeze fondled Bai Weijin’s body immediately he finished speaking, leaving no chance for Bai Weijin to think it over.

They spent the night together.

Bai Weijin woke up, to find that there was nobody but her in the room. “Gu Yeze,” murmured she.

No one replied.

‘Maybe he’s downstairs,’ thought Bai Weijin.

After last night’s intimacy, kiss marks were found everywhere on her body, and their clothes were scattered on the ground. Bai Weijin hesitated for a moment and then reached for her clothes.

Unfortunately, she couldn’t reach any piece of them.

Bai Weijin felt she was aching all over when she got out of bed.

Just as she reached the border of a garment, Bai Weijin heard the sound of the lock turned. She looked flustered and embarrassed.

Gu Yeze came out of the bathroom.

The door was well soundproofed… Bai Weijin was stark naked, with several marks he left on her body yesterday, which greatly turned Gu Yeze on.

His Adam’s apple rushed up and down his neck.

Bai Weijin grabbed her clothes and got into bed in only one stride.

A woman was always at a disadvantage concerning sexual acts, no matter how overbearing she was. Bai Weijin pretended not to see Gu Yeze and slipped her clothes on.

Gu Yeze pressed her hand, “No hurry.”

His voice was slightly hoarse. He untied his bath towel and leant towards her.

Bai Weijin had guessed what would happen. She shouted, “It’s time for work, Gu Yeze!”

“No work today. You’re allowed to take one day off.”

“Damn it!” Bai Weijin rolled her eyes as he said.

She wanted to utter more curses, while Gu Yeze put his lips over her mouth.

As a result, both of them woke up at noon.

They got dressed and sat down to watch television. Bai Weijin switched over to the news channel, and as expected, news about Yan Sheng’s scandal and awkward pictures of Bai Yinya went viral.

Bai Weijin folded her arms, enjoyably watching their embarrassment. The ridiculous wedding was once again in the news.

More interestingly, another piece of news was broadcast during the interval.

Bai Hongbo declared that all his relations with Bai Weijin should be severed.

The news couldn’t have caused a sensation, but concerning that Bai Weijin was Gu Yeze’s wife, it also hit the headlines.

Bai Weijin’s first reaction was to sneer.

Gu Yeze came sitting next to Bai Weijin, with a glass of water in his hand. The center of the news as she was, Bai Weijin remained completely indifferent.

She hadn’t had the slightest expectations of Bai Hongbo since long ago, and thus the news was none of her concern.

In contrast, Gu Yeze knitted his brows.

Bai Weijin explained it to him, “Bai Yinya and her mom must have complained tearfully to him. He always believes them without figuring out the rights and wrongs.”

Her voice was as cold as ice, as if she was talking about something totally irrelevant.

She was disappointed with Bai Hongbo long ago. Whatever he did to her, Bai Weijin would never give a damn.

“If I were you, I’d rather die than have such a father.” Gu Yeze said in a low voice.

Bai Weijin nodded in agreement. Gu Yeze added, “I myself can shield you from any harm.”

Since her mom passed away, Bai Weijin had been fighting a lone battle. With enormous strength of character, she was more than equal to any challenge. Nevertheless, she dared never let up for an instant.

Bai Yinya and Du Meihua never gave up striking at her in the hope that she would meet her doom one day.

Gu Yeze’s words gave Bai Weijin a feeling that she was taken under his wing, though she still stubbornly insisted, “Humph, I can manage by myself.”

Used to her air of pride, Gu Yeze wasn’t annoyed.

Before the heated discussion cooled, another story was on the front pages of all the newspapers.

Gu Yeze made a solemn declaration: Bai Weijin never admitted being Bai Hongbo’s daughter; from now on, her ties with Bai family would be cut, and cooperation between businesses in Gu family’s name and Bai’s be terminated.

This undoubtedly came as a shattering blow to Bai family.

Businesses of Gu family were the lifeblood of H City’s economy. Despite a lack of direct cooperation with Bai family, there were countless ties between the two.

After the declaration, Bai family had no room for maneuver.

There was a sharp crack when Bai Hongbo slapped Du Meihua across the face. Dumbstruck, she cried in her hands. Since her behavior was always to his liking, Bai Hongbo never laid a finger on her.

He rarely showed a sullen look before her.

“I told you to attend the banquet, while you blundered badly by provoking Gu Yeze! Now the whole Bai family is doomed. I’ve had enough of your stupidity!”

Bai Hongbo was quite a selfish man. Though Bai Yinya and Du Meihua did get on Gu Yeze’s nerves, his declaration of severing all ties with Bai Weijin for the sake of his own image also accelerated the ruin of his family.

It was the first time that Bai Yinya saw her father lose his temper. Having realized the gravity of the situation, she dared not say a word.

“Hongbo…”

“Shut it! Your folly wrecked the whole family. Are you satisfied?”

Bai Yinya and Du Meihua were afraid that they would not live a luxurious life in the future.

Nevertheless, they felt regretful for not what they had done but their careless mistakes in the process. Otherwise, Bai Weijin couldn’t have escaped.

A feeling of both fear and anger swept over Bai Hongbo. He stormed off. For the first time in his life he found Bai Yinya and Du Meihua so annoying.
