When Tang Huan first arrived in Bai Cheng, he met Sister Xiang in this bar.
There were no overly dramatic plot twists, and Brother Huan did not show off his personal skills in front of Sister Xiang. For example, he didn't save a damsel in distress or fight ten men at once.
Their acquaintance was simply the process of two strangers becoming familiar with each other.
Of course, the two of them were definitely not familiar with each other yet. Apart from knowing that Sister Xiang's surname was Long, Tang Huan knew nothing else about her.
Long is not a common surname, and paired with the beautiful character "Xiang," the name Long Xiang exuded a hint of mystery and grandeur.
However, Tang Huan's treatment was envied by the regulars and even the staff of the bar.
Being able to interact so intimately with Sister Xiang, whispering and leaning close, was something no one else dared to do.
As for why Sister Xiang favored Tang Huan so much, others were unaware, and Tang Huan himself was not entirely clear. But in earlier years, Brother Huan had gotten used to being the center of attention, so he didn't take it to heart.
Life is like a play, and Tang Huan didn't think he could become the director or the puppet master behind the scenes. But he certainly didn't want to become a pawn on the chessboard, to be manipulated by others.
Enjoying the scenery along the way and savoring the joys and sorrows of each day was his true intention in returning to life.
Sister Xiang's thoughts, however, were not so simple.
From the moment she first saw Tang Huan, she knew he was an extraordinary man. Her background, power, and the beauty and sensuality that made men flock to her were enough to make anyone feel uneasy and at a loss.
But Tang Huan never did.
Even when she pressed her delicate body against him, this young man remained lost in his own world, completely unaffected by her perfume.
This was not a typical reaction from an ordinary man, and in Sister Xiang's world, such a peculiar person had never appeared.
"Tonight, if you don't have anything important to do, would you like to go shopping with Sister Xiang?" Long Xiang put down her wine glass and leaned close to Tang Huan's ear, blowing a warm breath, looking very alluring.
"I don't have any money," Tang Huan patted his pockets. "Just enough to have a drink here."
"Sister Xiang has money," Long Xiang said seductively. "If you don't mind, Sister Xiang will take you out for the night."
"I do mind," Tang Huan lit a cigarette and said casually. "Chatting here is nice. The lights and the music, it's full of life."
Long Xiang blinked her alluring eyes and said no more.
She had seen many people and knew who had real stories and who was just pretending to be deep. Tang Huan was definitely not the latter, but she wasn't sure how many stories he had or whether it was worth spending too much time figuring him out.
"Then Sister Xiang will have a few more drinks with you."
With that, she instructed the waiter to bring out her private stash, an expensive foreign liquor worth nearly 100,000 yuan. Tang Huan glanced at it and whistled in amazement, "Sister Xiang, you're too generous. This glass of wine is worth a month's salary for me."
Being able to judge the price of this bottle of wine, he was certainly not an ordinary white-collar worker.
After all, not many people in the country could get their hands on this bottle of wine, and it wasn't something that could be bought with money alone.
Tang Huan didn't hide his discerning eye, which made Long Xiang feel that she could continue chatting with him.
After a few rounds of drinks, Tang Huan was slightly dazed by the noise around him. The guests at the tables nearby were even more unruly. One table was full of burly men, and the other was a group of college students, about ten of them, both male and female. They had drunk a lot, and the young people were getting quite excited. One of them had even taken off his outer shirt and was dancing in the dance floor, swaying his hips and buttocks, very energetically.
"Young people are so lively," Tang Huan exhaled a puff of smoke and smiled.
"If you don't like it, I can make them leave," Long Xiang smiled, speaking very casually.
"I like it very much," Tang Huan said. "Looking at them reminds me of my younger self."
Long Xiang didn't press further.
Given their current relationship, it wasn't the time to pry into each other's private lives.
Bang!
The table full of burly men suddenly got angry.
It seemed they had overheard Long Xiang and Tang Huan's conversation. One of them picked up a bottle and smashed it on the ground, shouting at the noisy group of college students, "Shut up! What are you making all that noise for!?"
Clearly, they were annoyed by the noise and were quite angry.
When the young burly man started to rage, the other guests at his table just kept drinking, neither cheering him on nor raising their heads to join in the commotion. They looked very indifferent.
But when the burly man smashed the bottle, the group of college students exploded.
The leader was a young man of about seventeen or eighteen, with a fair complexion and well-defined features. His eyes still had a hint of naivety and inexperience, but his figure was tall and slender, clearly a campus heartthrob.
"Go back to your mother's womb if you can't stand the noise!" The young man spat out, very viciously. The others cheered him on, their arrogance evident.
"Come out here!"
The burly man, enraged, stood up and walked toward the young man.
Seeing a show, the other guests in the bar also returned to their booths, watching with interest. A few regulars even ordered more drinks, afraid they might run out of alcohol to enjoy the show.
"Am I afraid of you?"
The young man stood up, towering at 185 cm. He was not slender but rather tall and well-built, clearly a regular at the gym.
"What's his background?" Tang Huan turned to look at Long Xiang.
Long Xiang usually didn't come to the bar, so she naturally didn't know. But she quickly received information from the bar manager.
The young man and his group were college students from a nearby sports and arts college. They often came to this street for fun on weekends and holidays. The other group had arrived in a fleet of cars, one car per person, not like ordinary passersby.
"Quite a mismatch," Tang Huan took a sip of his drink, not particularly interested in the conflict.
Young people being arrogant and reckless, a little setback could teach them a lesson. He shook his head, finished his drink, and was about to go home.
He still had to think about how to deal with his beautiful boss, which was a real headache for him.
"A bunch of hicks! Do you know who my brother's sister is?"
The young man stepped out of his booth, with his lackeys cheering him on. But he glared at them, "Shut up!"
The lackeys immediately backed off, not daring to offend this benefactor. Otherwise, how would they bring their girlfriends to such a high-end bar in the future?
Tang Huan, who had just stood up, heard this and sat back down, feeling a bit excited and agitated.
No wonder this kid looked familiar, it turns out...
"Interested?" Long Xiang said seductively, pouring him another drink.
"Going home to sleep, watching a show is pretty good," Tang Huan smiled.
Long Xiang, without the awareness of a bar owner, was not worried that the commotion would affect business. She drank calmly, watching the show with a relaxed demeanor.
On the other side, the young man and the burly man had been glaring at each other for a while, ready to fight at any moment.
"Brat, I'm giving you a chance to apologize," the burly man said with a commanding presence. "Otherwise, don't blame me for bullying you!"
"Less talk. I have other plans later," the young man shrugged, exuding confidence and experience. "Don't waste my time."
