“Chairman, all documents have been checked. You need to sign here.” Not long after, the assistant put a few ownership transfer documents held in his hands in front of Qin Yiran.

Qin Yiran roughly glanced over at the Qin family shares’ ownership transfer agreement and signed her name on it. The Qin family returned back to her control. She smiled at Jiang Yang. Her smile was extremely refreshing.

Qin Yiran raised these conditions which were indeed a rip-off. Among them, just the Qin family’s 45% shares made up for a large amount and she had asked for them all at once. Their value amounted to more than a hundred millions. In the first place, if Jiang Yang had agreed to give Jiang He that 100 million, he wouldn’t have suffered such a bloody loss at the present.

But these shares didn’t have any use in Jiang Yang’s hands. Qin Yiran dared to call herself a billionaire not because she was the chairman of the Qin family, rather because her uncle Gu XueYing already made use of the Land Reclamation and Construction Project to support and push up the Gu family. Gu family’s major shares were also given to Qin Yiran. By now, Jiang Yang had understood everything. Qin Yiran did not develop the family Qin precisely because, at the moment, the Qin family’s shares were in his hands.

All of the preparation was to get the shares back. Jiang Yang sneered silently in his heart. He didn’t know why he was forced to such an extent.

“The Jiang family’s amount is incorrect.” Qin Yiran signed the last document and leisurely took a sip of her black tea.

“How is it incorrect?” Jiang Yang’s pupils tightened, afraid that Qin Yiran might go back on her words. “We agreed on 20%, I don’t owe you a single thing.”

“You really don’t owe me, but owe my brother Yan Su!” Qin Yiran smiled and said: “You promised him that you would transfer the ownership of 10% shares to him as long as he cured Meng Qian’s grandfather. What about those shares? You don’t want to handover those shares? I can learn from you and renege just like you did.”

“Are you playing with me?!” Jiang Yang stood up, his eyes were red with anger as if he just wanted to swallow Qin Yiran. He had already transferred 20% of the shares and completely lost the position of the head(patriarch) of the Jiang family. Giving away another 10% shares, even if afterwards the Jiang family could possibly reinstate its former position, would he still have the foothold to establish himself?!

“Jiang Yang, you should know I can make the government investigation team return to Beijing with just one phone call. I don’t have such a rotten conscience like you. I only want to take back what belongs to me. Since you are not willing, I won’t take advantage of your situation. You should think about it.” Without creating any great waves or being startled, Qin Yiran put down the cup, took those already signed documents which had gone into effect and moved to tear them to shreds.

She said so, but simply didn’t give Jiang Yang any time to think about it.

In the quick of eye and deft of hand, Jiang Yang snatched the documents across the table. He pressed one hand on the table, panted heavily in anger, and spoke in humiliation. “I will prepare the relevant documents immediately.”

Qin Yiran smiled. “I’ll wait for you.”

The Jiang family couldn’t delay for even a single second and very soon, Jiang Yang came to the Qin family mansion for the second time with the official documents. When he and Qin Yiran signed the overlord clause, the Jiang family officially changed hands. From now on, Jiang Yang was no longer the patriarch of the Jiang Family, nor the richest man in Yue City, but only a small shareholder with a few scattered shares in his hands and nothing more……. He didn’t even have the qualifications to force his way in the upper class circle…….

The sky had already turned dark, countless stars were hanging in the curtain of night, but the weight of the stars even seemingly pushed down on his shoulders, almost snapping his neck. Jiang Yang did not drive back home, but rather went to a bar in the neighborhood. He poured himself cup after cup, wanting to be drunk but he wasn’t drunk when he received a call from Jiang Zhaolin.

The people from the investigation team had left.

He had really underestimated Yan Su, who had the ability to order about the people from the government. They came as soon as he called and left as quickly on his command. Jiang Yang laughed grimly, hung up the phone with crimson eyes and hurled the phone away. He tipsily ordered another drink.

He didn’t notice that a man in a suit and leather shoes was watching him from the corner. It was Qin Yiran’s uncle, Gu XueYing. He stared at Jiang Yang’s dispirited posture, like a wild beast waiting for an opportunity to hunt.

—

Huo family.

“He really signed?” Qin Yiran came to visit Nie Jia and learned that he and Huo Qing had gone out to attend a charitable soiree. Just as she was leaving, Huo Yun asked her to stay and describe the day’s matter all the way through. Huo Yun was once again surprised.

Due to the occasion, Qin Yiran nodded her head somewhat awkwardly. “He was likely to lose much more if he didn’t sign.”

Although Huo Yun was the daughter of the Huo family, she was also an artist who didn’t understand worldly customs, much less understand the business world. Nie Jia’s series of operations had really surprised her.

“Now that Yan Su ge is not in, then I will go back. I request Miss Huo to help pass on these documents to him.” Qin Yiran put the Jiang family’s shares’ ownership transfer documents on the tabletop and pushed them towards Huo Yun.

The two were still talking when a car light flashed outside. Nie Jia and Huo Qing had come back.

Huo Yun still lazily leaned on the sofa, but Qin Yiran couldn’t help standing up.

The weather was getting colder and Nie Jia walked in with Huo Qing’s coat wrapped around his shoulders. Casting a nonchalant gaze at Qin Yiran, he spoke somewhat indolently. “Why are you here?”

He seemed a little bit drunk and the outer corners of his eyes were bright red. He leaned against Huo Qing’s arms with a trace of languidness in his expression.

“I have settled it over there with Jiang Yang.” Qin Yiran explained.

Huo Yun shook the documents in her hands. “Ge, didn’t you wantonly buy some scattered shares recently? Now, Jiang Yang has only 9% shares in his hands, Jiang Zhaolin has 10%, and the rest are in your hands.”

Qin Yiran was slightly surprised. She didn’t expect that almost the entire Jiang family was already in Yan Su’s hands. She still thought it was only 30%.

“Jiang Yang is in the hospital, do you know?” Nie Jia walked over and flipped through the documents at random, and sat down lazily. Huo Qing made a detour and went into the kitchen and soon brought a glass of warm water and stomach medicine and gave it to him.

“Hospitalized? When did this happen?” Qin Yiran was stunned. Jiang Yang was fine when he left in the afternoon.

“Car accident. Was hit on the East Road.” Nie Jia glanced at Qin Yiran. “It’s your uncle’s person, but Jiang Yang was drunk driving and in the wrong direction too, so he had the main responsibility and needs to pay compensation. But it’s hard to say whether Jiang Yang has the ability to stay alive or not. If, by luck, he doesn’t die, he will certainly become a cripple.”

He spoke lightly and threw the documents back on the table.

Qin Yiran thought that Nie Jia was angry because her uncle had acted on his own initiative, and she didn’t say a word for a while. For a long time, there were only tears in her eyes and more hatred. She gritted her teeth and said, “Jiang Yang killed my grandma. If my uncle didn’t do it, I would have done it. If you have to blame someone, blame me.”

“You should go back. Nothing happened. The man your uncle used couldn’t be trusted, I’ve already taken care of it. You let people step on you and have already made a mistake once, but you still didn’t learn your lesson and want to try once again? Let him keep his eyes on the matter and erase the traces.” Huo Qing turned his back to Qin Yiran and spoke indifferently as he watched Nie Jia take the medicine obediently.

{T/N: the raws were 都让人踩过一次了不长记性还想再来第二次?This is the closest in meaning I could translate to. If anyone has a better translation, please help with it. If you didn’t understand what it meant, lemme tell you. Huo Qing says that Gu Xueying already made a mistake by using an untrustworthy person but Qin Yiran still didn’t realize and stubbornly says that she would have done the same. The ‘step on you‘ part means that they had left traces and it would have been easy for others to blackmail them.}

Qin Yiran nodded her head in fear and trepidation and immediately left the Huo house.
