Ch3 - The word affection is both medicine and poison

Li Suqing didn’t speak further. When he returned to his room, he changed into a new set of clothes and instructed Ye Zhi to take a good rest. After all, Ye Zhi was seriously injured, no matter how strong his martial art was, he wouldn’t be able to recover completely in a short time.

The sounds of medicine being crushed reverberated in Ye Zhi’s ears. It wasn’t a crisp sound, but leaned more towards dull and chaotic. A moment later, in addition to the pounding sound, there was also Li Suqing’s dry coughs.

Perhaps because no one has ever treated Ye Zhi like this, even though he knew Li Suqing was fulfilling his duty as a doctor, he still couldn’t help but be touched.

Ye Zhi stood up and gently pressed on Li Suqing’s wrist. What Chen Yu said about Li Suqing being well-versed in medicine because he has lived with illnesses for a long time was not false. Li Suqing’s body was very skinny, the joints in his fingers were visible, and his fingertips were white and cold like ice.

Facing Li Suqing’s eyes, Ye Zhi didn’t show anything unusual. He sat down next to him and said in a voice so cold it was almost inhumane, “I’ll do it for you.” Li Suqing only smiled softly and nodded, “Okay.”

As soon as he finished speaking, he coughed a few more times. It seemed his weak body couldn’t withstand the harshness of the cold mountain’s wind.

Looking at Li Suqing’s pale face, Ye Zhi frowned, “It’s already late. You had better go rest.” He snatched the objects in Li Suqing’s hand and pulled him up, not allowing any refusals.

“Well, alright.” Li Suqing obediently complied. Maybe because he was too tired, half of Li Suqing’s body leaned on Ye Zhi, it looked as if he didn’t want to be apart from him.

Ye Zhi was momentarily dumbfounded. The sound of his heart pounding was apparent in the quiet night, however, Li Suqing didn’t seem to notice and continued to lean on. Forcing himself to pretend calm, Ye Zhi escorted Li Suqing back to his room.

After putting Li Suqing on the couch, Ye Zhi turned around, intending to leave. Li Suqing suddenly raised his hand to gently tuck a lock of Ye Zhi’s hair behind his ear, inadvertently brushed through his cheek in the process.

Li Suqing’s gesture looked affectionate at first glance, but Ye Zhi has already seen him doing the same thing for Chen Yu many times. Despite knowing that, he still couldn’t help but feel his heart inexplicably shaken.

Ye Zhi pursed his lips. Then, with a blanked head, he bent down and pressed his lips on the soft ones in front of him.

Li Suqing was surprised at first, but then, he could only laugh after seeing Ye Zhi’s clumsy and messy bites attempts. He skillfully guided Ye Zhi to probe deeper inside, both tongues caressing each other, making beautiful sounds in the silent night.

Going with the flow, Ye Zhi pushed Li Suqing down on the couch, but then he suddenly froze. He did not know how to proceed from here because he had zero experience in this matter. And so, after staring at Li Suqing for a long while, Ye Zhi lowered his head and continued kissing.

At some unknown point, the sickly Li Suqing counterattacked, switching from passive to active. Under the bright candlelight, his thin and moist lips became even more enchanting.

Towards Ye Zhi’s simple innocence, Li Suqing didn’t feel any guilt. He smiled softly. After all, in those black onyx eyes, a kind of light he had never seen before was shining.

Li Suqing showered Ye Zhi’s face with kisses like a gentle and long-lasting drizzle, as if to reassure him. Ye Zhi was no different from a newborn calf and could only helplessly letting Li Suqing slaughter him however he wanted. Until the end, Ye Zhi was completely unaware he had gone from “eating” to “being eaten” cleaned by Li Suqing.

He felt like he was floating on clouds, and somehow fell asleep in the other’s arms.

Ye Zhi rarely had such a peaceful sleep. As a direct disciple of Qijue sect, he had to constantly put his guard up, only then would he be able to detect the anomalies around him.

When he woke up in the morning, the traces on his body had been cleaned up. If it wasn’t for some strange sensations, he would suspect that last night was just a dream.

However, Ye Zhi’s behavior didn’t change, still as cold as ice, indifferent and distant.

Li Suqing was also the same, still gentle and calm, forever unchanged.
