The heavens were bright after last night’s pouring rain. The sun shone brightly in the sky, and sunlight radiated through the flourishing villa district.
Ji Mingshu opened up her eyes and tried to lift her upper body but was soon pushed back down by a strong arm.
But that didn’t bother her since she didn’t want to actually get up at the moment; her whole body felt sore from last night’s intense exercise.
They usually had s*x one to two times a month without even changing positions each time, doing it solely to fulfill his s*xual desire. But last night, Cen Sen changed from someone who didn’t have a robust s*xual temptation to someone who tortured her till 3 AM this morning, as if he was trying to make up for all the times he was gone during the past two years.
As for whether the man could be counted to be good in bed, Ji Mingshu wasn’t sure since she had no one to compare.
After these random thoughts, the young woman stretched out her arm to reach the curtain remote on the nightstand and pressed the open button.
Just as the curtains started to open, Cen Sen narrowed his eyes and frowned. He snatched away the remote and closed the curtain again, before laying his arm on top of Ji Mingshu once more.
“Take your hand …”
Not waiting for her to say more, Cen Sen retrieved his hand and pulled the blankets over. “Don’t say anything; go back to sleep,” he said impatiently in a hoarse tone with his eyebrows heavily furrowed.
Shifting to such a cold tone after s*x, that’s totally him.
Ji Mingshu was also not rushing to wake up, so she kicked her husband with force not too soft or too hard, and turned around to grab her phone.
Last night’s banquet had blown up on the internet, with most of the buzz around the celebrities who attended it.
Su Cheng, who was always in the center of the photos and had shaken hands with many celebrities last night, was frequently tagged. A fashion blogger even titled her as having the most fashionable dress of the night, and the comments under the posts were also filled with compliments.
Yet, as Ji Mingshu looked through the posts, she found that all of the pictures that Su Cheng was in were either missing half of the photograph or blurred.
This is not something surprising as Cen Sen was always invisible to the public.
Those who had the right to know should’ve already figured about Cen’s Corporation’s boss’s return after last night.
Although Cen’s Corporation was a family enterprise, its internal management conflicts have always been complicated.
Until now, Cen Yuanzhao had dominated all the others, holding a substantial amount of power over the majority of the core projects and the merging plan of Junyi Hotel Corporation.
But Cen Yunzhao’s health was failing in recent years; he had even been to the emergency room a few times.
Every time he got sick, the company’s ambitious ones would always try to stir up trouble, and although these troubles weren’t critical enough to where they affected Cen Yunzhao’s power, they caused many internal conflicts to rise.
As Cen Yunzhao’s only son, Cen Sen held a lot of responsibility in assisting his father. In fact, he was totally capable of reaching those expectations. Although his handsome appearance often gave others the impression that he was modest and gentle, he was reputable for his sharp management style. Among all of those in his generation, only a few dared to compete against him directly.
Cen Sen always set himself against an even harsher standard than those he set for the others. To become allies with the Ji family, he took Ji Mingshu as his wife without hesitation, even though she was known for her spoiled temperament.
Everyone was shocked when the marriage between the Cen and Ji families was announced. Many even thought that the marriage was only a front and that they wouldn’t actually marry.
When they married as they promised, Cen Sen was promoted from Huazhang Holdings (a corporation under Junyi) to the Junyi headquarter as the Director of Research & Development. It became evident that the Head of Cen’s Corporation was trying to control the headquarters through this marriage.
The controversial topics regarding Cen Sen and Ji Mingshu never ended, from the initial marriage announcement to the first post-marriage visit of the bride.
It was only half a year into their marriage did the gossip gradually fade away.
Just when everything started to settle down, Cen Sen suddenly volunteered to join Junyi’s foreign subsidiary in Australia, saying that he wanted to open up the market overseas. This stirred up another wave of comments.
