Awakening After 500 Years, Alchemy is Lost. I'll Start Working at My Old Nest to Revive It ~ヴァイケン・オルドの錬金研究室～

An alchemist, someone who creates gold from base metals, a reality converter, someone who vaguely mixes matter and concepts to create a new future... That's how they were described 500 years ago. Due to the decrease in the number of people who can handle the technology and the advent of the magic age, alchemy has become completely obsolete. Now, the term alchemist refers to craftsmen who make magic potions and simple magic tools, and even that is being replaced by magic and other technologies. In this era, an alchemist awakens in the depths of a crumbling ancient ruin. ──ヴァイケン・オルド. An alchemist who was active about 500 years ago. Upon awakening, he laments his imperfect state, but rejoices that his life's work, the "Cradle of Reincarnation," functioned correctly. In his past life, he was terminally ill and underwent a risky reincarnation experiment. Leaving his transformed laboratory, ヴァイケン heads to his old workplace, the ancient capital of Salvan, and starts a new life as an alchemist and adventurer. His magic potions, magic tools (and himself) become so famous that even the Royal Academy and the King hear about him, leading to various requests. In the process, he discovers clues to a disaster that nearly destroyed the world 500 years ago and the truth behind history. A self-indulgent alchemist and a goofy artificial fairy save the world 500 years later in this alchemy-filled fantasy!
